Acceptance, Consciousness and Self-Love

What do I truly want? Where do I belong and what suits me – now, later and in ten years? How do I recognize what is right for me, and how do I manage to remain true to myself, even in difficult situations?

In my work, I deal with questions like these, doing what I enjoy most: I accompany people as they change their lives for the better and develop greater self-knowledge. In other words: I support them as they seek to answer these questions for themselves and understand themselves better, in order to engage with life confidently, to live the life they long for in their heart of hearts. I do so not only as a certified coach and therapist, but mainly as a human being. I use my heart, mind, humour and gut instinct. I know what it’s like to redefine oneself, to finally recognize potentials and rise to challenges. I know the light and the dark sides, and I know that both of them offer us possibilities to grow beyond ourselves.

This process is not purely about optimization, but about acceptance, unfolding potentials and inner growth for sustainable change. I work according to my best knowledge and abilities as well as scientifically grounded know-how. When we learn to understand ourselves and be a good friend to ourselves, we can shape our lives in freedom and self-determination.

My approach is individual – because everyone has different needs. Therefore, you and your deepest desires are the main focus. Together we work out your goals and make room for greater clarity. We create space for new ideas and find ways to not only recognize deadlocked articles of belief and blockades, but also to loosen them gradually. My work combines various modern and traditional approaches. I work psychologically and am process-oriented, but also make use of positive psychology and philosophy, mindfulness practice and systemic therapy (IFST).

Most importantly, all this must be tangible, understandable and authentic. Only then will it have any effect.

With Heart, Mind and Humour

Many people fail in the implementation of their dreams and wishes – not because of a lack of abilities, but because mental obstacles become too large. Fear, worry and bad thoughts prevent us from living our life to the fullest. This is true despite the great potential each of us has.

After a long journey of my own through the light and dark sides of life, I know today that anyone seeking happiness, success and equilibrium must begin inside. And that also means that we can learn to strengthen both our self-knowledge and our intuition, to go through life with greater mindfulness in order to recognize what is truly meaningful to us. To do so, however, first we must understand and recognize our destructive patterns of belief. So as to ease your journey towards this point, I would like to support you with my repertoire of expert knowledge, years of experience, custom-tailored coaching and empathy. From my own experience, I know how helpful professional thought-provoking impulses can be, and how valuable an eye-level exchange with a person who considers the challenges of life with a benevolent, supportive and positive mind-set. And because we learn best when we feel comfortable, the whole process is certainly also meant to be fun!

 

My Philosophy

My outlook is marked by humanistic and existentialistic trains of thought. My work combines various modern and traditional approaches. I work psychologically and am process-oriented, but also make use of positive psychology and philosophy, mindfulness practice and systemic therapy (IFST). My approach is holistic and has a high professional level. Naturally, I participate in further education and continuous supervision. My goal is to retain maximum flexibility in my collaborations, but also to address the individual needs of the person I am working with. Self-knowledge is the key to any change.

Most importantly, all this must be tangible, understandable and authentic. Only then will it have any effect!

  • Studied literature and psychology at the Ruprecht Karls University in Heidelberg, the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf, the Universidad de Alicante and the Free University in Berlin.

  • Training to be a certified coach according to the guidelines of the International Coach Federation (ICF) at the Dr. Bock Coaching Akademie

  • Training in systemic therapy - Internal Family System Therapy according to Dr. Richard Schwartz in Germany and abroad and at the GST Berlin

  • Training in MBSR (Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction according to Jon Kabat-Zinn) and MSC (Mindful Self-Compassion) at the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion

  • 2014: Founded Lea Vogel Coaching

  • Since 2013: Collaboration with Heiner Diepenhorst, Coaching Berlin-Mitte
